The brain-child of an anesthesiologist and a creative director, Empathic Practice merges generations in a family-owned Leading Provider of Holistic Medicine in the Pensacola, FL area.
Empathic Practice was created because we believe you need options. You deserve care that is focused on listening to you and empowering your control over your health.
Our team combines experience in medical practice, alternative holistic health, functional Ayurveda, meditation, mindfulness, mental health and wellness. We want to help you developing soft skills for the hard times of life: developing creative thinking, connecting with your body, mind and soul.

Bonnie McLean, OMD
Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncturist, and Author
Dr. Bonnie McLean is an OMD, Doctorate in Oriental Medicine 1986 and a Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician.
Dr. Bonnie received her Masters in Counseling from Pepperdine University in 1976 and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duke University in 1967. Dr. Bonnie practiced nursing for 20 years and has now practiced acupuncture for 38 years.
What Dr. Bonnie brings to Empathic Practice
“I consider myself a practitioner of integrative medicine. I specialize in stress-related disorders (including trauma and PTSD), acute and chronic pain, immunity and longevity, habit control, allergies, and women’s health. My main modalities are acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I also practice energy medicine, ie. Reiki and Pranic Healing, essential oils, flower essences, and homeopathy. I also provide health coaching.”

In addition, Dr. Bonnie is a lecturer and author. Her latest publication is Integrative Medicine: The Return of the Soul to Healthcare.
She also has a chapter in a book called Crappy to Happy and one in Mayhem to Miracles both published by Sacred Stories Media.
