Who is behind Empathic Practice?

Nearly 40 years of medical expertise and alternative health practices to help you achieve optimal mental and physical health and wellbeing.

The brain-child of an anesthesiologist and a creative director, Empathic Practice merges generations in a family-owned Leading Provider of Holistic Medicine in the Pensacola, FL area.

Empathic Practice was created because we believe you need options. You deserve care that is focused on listening to you and empowering  your control over your health. 

Our team combines experience in medical practice, alternative holistic health, functional Ayurveda, meditation, mindfulness, mental health and wellness. We want to help you developing soft skills for the hard times of life: developing creative thinking, connecting with your body, mind and soul.

Sylvia Bringas

Trauma-Informed Spiritual Coach

Sylvia is a licensed massage therapist with a background in Philosophy. She is also a certified Trauma + Somatics Coach and completed a self-study course with Gabor Maté in Compassionate Inquiry. 

Sylvia studied and trained as a Spiritual Practioner under a spiritual teacher and writer, Mary Shutan, since 2014. Sylvia has also studied with a Shamanic Healer in Peru, working with various Amazonian medicinal plant medicines.

Sylvia Bringas is a Spiritual Practitioner who emphasizes healing the relationship you have with yourself. We all experience disconnection from ourselves, others, and the world around us. And she helps you come back into harmony with yourself by teaching you to navigate discomfort. Her fundamental healing principle is in asking, “what does this mean, where did it come from, and what can I learn from it?”

 A healing session with Sylvia is body-centered. She works with the senses, and body sensations, to assist you in processing challenges you face in life.

Sylvia‘s healing sessions are grounded in spiritual and shamanic modalities. As a trauma-informed practitioner, she helps you to unravel fears, overwhelm, self-doubt. In a busy world of living in our heads, she gently guides you in calling back your power and presence to experience the richness of living in harmony, within and without.

What Is Bottom-Up Healing?

In sessions with Sylvia, you work together to gently access the wisdom + consciousness of your body. 

By working with your body’s innate intelligence, you can unravel the bound-up emotional and spiritual ‘scar tissue’ or imbalances and give you access to your vitality so you can live life fully alive, connected, and in harmony with yourself and the world around you.
